Temptation is: an almost overwhelming physical and or mental desire to misuse or abuse those gifts God has intended for our good and appropriate use.  One is faced with a choice and is struggling with it.

Temptation to a Christian can be turned into a blessing. It shows one has impurities, and the areas of life through which Satan seeks to destroy us. But when you know what the impurity is, you can claim God's promise that forgiveness and cleansing follow confession (John 1:9).
